Several law firms have issued a warning to elite universities in the US, urging them to take action against antisemitism on their campuses. The firms have expressed concern over reports of anti-Semitic harassment, vandalism, and assaults, including rallies calling for the death of Jews and the elimination of Israel. They have stated that such activities would not be tolerated at their firms and have threatened consequences for the universities and their students. The law firms, which include prestigious names like Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Kirkland & Ellis, have emphasized the importance of zero tolerance policies for discrimination and harassment. This campaign was initiated by Sullivan & Cromwell, and the letter was sent to law schools such as Yale, Harvard, and Columbia. The impact of this campaign has already been seen, with a law firm rescinding a job offer to a NYU student who made a controversial statement about Israel. In response to the law firms' letter, some universities have launched efforts to combat antisemitism, including the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University.
