Residents of Arkansas are protesting against the increasing presence of unwanted cryptocurrency mines in small towns across the state. In Mountain Pine, residents have complained about the loud noise coming from a new crypto-mining facility. The noise, caused by high-pitched fans, can be heard up to four or five miles away. In response to the outcry, Senator Bryan King is seeking a response from the governor's office. He has requested records related to crypto mines in the area. A law was passed earlier this year allowing crypto-mining businesses in the state and preventing local governments from regulating them. Senator King had requested to repeal this law during a special session, but his motion was denied. He criticized the governor for not discussing the issue during the session. The governor's office stated that they prioritize the safety and security of the residents.
