Bitmain, the top producer of Bitcoin mining machines, has announced its intention to launch miners specifically designed for Aleo, a privacy-focused blockchain platform that uses zero-knowledge proofs. The company revealed its plans in a WeChat post, stating that it will introduce an 'Antminer' model customized for Aleo. This comes after Bitmain's recent announcement about payment delays for its staff in September, which were reportedly due to cash flow issues. However, the company has resolved this problem and continues to expand its product range. Bitmain has already released its latest Antminer S21 model, which has attracted interest from mining firms. The move into Aleo-based mining machines aligns with Bitmain's strategy to diversify its products and explore opportunities in the blockchain industry. Despite financial challenges, Bitmain remains a significant player in the mining hardware sector and also operates AntPool, the second-largest Bitcoin mining pool globally.
