The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has written an open letter to over 200 colleges and universities, asking them to investigate the campus chapters of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) for allegedly supporting Hamas. The ADL claims that many SJP chapters have endorsed Hamas' attack on Israel, which is considered a terrorist organization by the United States. The ADL suggests that any financial support given by SJP chapters to Hamas may violate federal and state laws. However, the letter does not provide any evidence of material or financial support from SJP to Hamas. SJP denies these allegations and argues that their support for Palestinian rights does not constitute support for terrorism. The ADL claims that SJP chapters are celebrating terrorism and accuses them of endorsing Hamas' attacks on Israeli civilians. The ADL also warns that if universities do not address this issue, it could lead to discrimination against Jewish students.
