North Korea's Lazarus Group has moved $1.2 million worth of Bitcoin from a coin mixer to a holding wallet, marking their largest transaction in over a month. The transaction was reported by blockchain analysis firm Arkham, who also revealed that the group received 27.371 BTC in two transactions before sending out 3.34 BTC to a previously used wallet. The specific coin mixer used in the transaction was not identified. Lazarus Group is known for its involvement in cryptocurrency thefts, with estimates suggesting they have stolen billions of dollars in digital assets. The stolen funds serve as a crucial revenue source for the North Korean government and enable them to sustain their operations despite facing international sanctions. Despite advancements in cybersecurity and international collaboration, it is predicted that Lazarus Group will continue to disrupt the cryptocurrency industry in 2024.
