Boeing, a company known for its safe and high-quality commercial jets, has recently faced a series of safety and quality control issues. The most recent incident involved a 737 Max 9 flight where a piece of the plane ripped out, but fortunately, no one was seriously injured. The National Safety Transportation Board (NTSB) is investigating the accident and has discovered twisted seat structures, dangling oxygen masks, and missing headrests. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, but the fact that the plane is relatively new suggests it could be Boeing's fault. Boeing's stock has dropped as investors worry about the impact on the company. The company has had previous quality problems with its 737 Max jets, which were grounded for 20 months after two fatal crashes. Internal communications released during the grounding revealed concerns about the decision-making process at Boeing. The company has also faced quality concerns with its 787 Dreamliner and the 777 jet. Some of these problems have been attributed to Boeing suppliers, but cost-cutting efforts by Boeing may have contributed to the quality control issues. Boeing has not commented on whether the Alaska Airlines incident is linked to its recent quality problems. Despite each new problem, Boeing maintains that safety and quality are its top priorities.
