Elon Musk, speaking at the New York Times DealBook Summit, apologized for a recent antisemitic post on X and expressed frustration at advertisers leaving his platform due to rising antisemitism. He stated that he didn't want those advertisers and told them to "go f**k yourself." Musk also mentioned that he doesn't mind being hated and acknowledged that he sometimes says the wrong thing. Several prominent brands, including Disney and NBCUniversal, paused their advertising on X following Musk's embrace of an antisemitic conspiracy theory. Musk admitted that his tweet may have been the worst and dumbest post he has ever made. He clarified that he visited Israel recently, but it was not an apology tour and not a response to the criticism he received. Musk also had conversations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, with Herzog expressing hope to see Musk's activism against antisemitism in the future.
